Year round swimming program
Club swimming is available at the Woodburn Aquatic Center for
beginners through national level competitors.
The purpose of Mid-Valley Aquatics is to provide the nurturing
team environment and leadership to guide athletes toward the
maximum development of their ability. The program is centered
on promoting high self-esteem and goal achievement through the
pursuit of personal excellence and educationally sound values as it
relates to their success in training, competition, and life in general.
Swimmers will learn all swimming strokes, butterfly, backstroke,
breaststroke, and freestyle as well as completive turns and dives.
Our entry level group starts at just $25 per month.
Participants must be able to swim the length of the pool: freestyle
Adult Masters Swimming
Are you looking for a more advanced workout?
Join our master swimming group which meets
every Monday and Wednesday from 6-7 p.m.
Workouts will be provided with a nationally
certified U.S. Masters and USA Swimming coach.
Mid-Valley Aquatics is partnering with the Woodburn Aquatic
Center to teach our most advanced swim lesson level. This group
will give participants an opportunity to make the bridge from
lessons into club swimming. Participants are expected to be
able to swim a full length of freestyle and backstroke. This
group will join the club team for a total of 10 practices per
month for 1 hour on Monday & Thursdays from 4:00 – 5:00pm
with two additional optional practices throughout the month.
Summer League Swim Team
June 26 – July 1
First Day of Practice – June 26th; 9am
Join our entry level swim team for a fun 5-week season. Coaches will
teach proper technique in all 4 swim strokes: butterfly, backstroke,
breaststroke and freestyle, as well as starts and turns. Swimmers will
have the option to compete in short swim meets against local teams
in Silverton, Salem and at our home pool. Competitions are not
required. The summer league team will practice Monday-Thursday
from 9-10am and then will compete Saturday mornings from 8-10am.
Space is limited to the first 40 registrants and last year space filled up
quickly, so be sure to sign up early!
Cost: $25, includes meet registration fees, swim meet
ribbons and a swim cap.
